Not everyone’s partnered up this Valentine’s Day, and after 2 years in and out of lockdown, it’s been difficult for a lot of people to date. Swiping left and right just doesn’t do it anymore for those who really want to get out there and meet people. It’s much easier to have that instant connection or understanding when you’re face to face, after all!
It all starts on Saturday, February 12, with a pre-Valentine’s Day mingling event. You can win a bottle of liquor by hanging a secret message in the tree if you’re not willing to go all in and start flirting with someone because some of us cannot flirt. If you’re braver than I and actually end up pairing up with someone you can take a beschuitje home for breakfast, which honestly sounds even better than going home with someone.
The Valentine’s Day event is an absolute colossus, running for a whole 10 hours, from noon until midnight, with tons of little segments, including a one-liner contest where you can win a prize. There’s bound to be some cringey entries, and this alone makes it worth the visit. A DJ will be on hand to get the party going, too!
If you’re up for it mark yourself as ‘going’ on the Facebook event and enjoy what will be two long days of eating. drinking and meeting a whole host of new and interesting people!
