During the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), the iconic national monument De Rode Hoed on Keizersgracht transforms into Tomorrowland’s official meeting place. From Wednesday, October 21, through Saturday, October 24, 2026, this unique experience is free to the public. This makes it one of the best free ADE events in the city center.
Tomorrowland Expo at ADE: What’s There to Do?
Inside the historic De Rode Hoed on Keizersgracht, you’ll walk through the fascinating evolution of the festival. Through large interactive screens and physical archives, you’ll discover rare concept art and the stories behind Tomorrowland’s iconic main stages. This 17th-century building provides the perfect backdrop for this unique cultural exhibition.
In the center of the space is the One World Radio live studio. Visitors can experience up close how national and international DJs sit down for live interviews. Afterward, you can discover the latest festival fashion at the Tomorrowland Pop-Up Store or relax at the Solo Vida Bar with a glass of the festival’s official sparkling drink.
Free admission to De Rode Hoed
The monumental De Rode Hoed building is located in the heart of Amsterdam’s historic canal district on Keizersgracht. This former 17th-century clandestine church complex offers an atmospheric and intimate setting that contrasts beautifully with modern festival culture. Since admission is completely free and you don’t need an official ADE Pro Pass, the exhibition is open to everyone.
Since the event attracts a lot of interest, lines often form along the canal during peak hours in the afternoon. Therefore, it’s best to visit the venue early in the morning for a more relaxed experience. Keep in mind that there are no DJ sets or nighttime parties at this specific location; it’s purely a cultural daytime experience.
