Nightlife on Rembrandtplein takes on a whole new meaning at Sing Sing. In collaboration with Flagship, the venue offers a combination of shaking your own cocktails and singing undisturbed with your own group of friends. Participants learn the finer points of the craft from a professional bartender, before wrapping up the evening in a private karaoke booth.
Shaking your own cocktails behind the bar
During the workshop, visitors step behind the bar of the atmospherically lit club. After a brief explanation and helpful tips from the resident bartender, the group gets to work with professional shakers and measuring cups. The first round focuses on mixing a classic Cosmopolitan, which—after being poured into elegant glasses—is tasted right at the bar.
This is followed by the second round, which features the menu’s rising star: the Tiramisu Martini. This creamy cocktail, topped with a dusting of cocoa powder, turns out to be the absolute highlight of the session for most participants. With their homemade drink in hand—having successfully achieved the perfect flavor balance—the evening can begin.
From cocktail bar to karaoke booth
Once the shakers are set aside, the group moves to the karaoke rooms. These booths are strikingly decorated with padded red walls, disco balls, and mood lighting. Using a digital system, everyone easily selects their favorite songs and then sings along to well-known hits with a homemade cocktail in hand.
For those who want to capture the evening in a tangible way, there’s a classic photo booth in the hallway under a neon logo. For six euros, a photo strip rolls out immediately.
