When it comes to meetups, whether that be a romantic date, a mate’s date, or a catch-up with an old friend, we don’t have many options left. It’s not like you can go for a meal at a restaurant nowadays unless you want to eat your evening meal at about 4 pm. But don’t worry because Amsterdam has plenty of amazing places to eat in the morning and afternoon that are just as pretty as anywhere you might have visited on an evening and Cafe Lawa is one of those places.

Not only is the decor gorgeous at this stunning dessert parlour but the food is delicious and perhaps even more aesthetically pleasing. If you’ve got a sweet tooth then get ready to go to sugary heaven because there are so many delicious and tempting treats on offer here that would make even the most savoury of pallettes smile.

The waffles at Cafe Lawa are basically a dream come true, with a choice of sauces, toppings, ice-creams, and fruits. From pistachio to crumbled Kit Kat, you can design your own waffle to include whatever you’d like. Then there are the extra-special, spectacular freakshakes. You can choose from 4 different flavours – strawberry, forest fruits, chocolate and vanilla.

If that weren’t tempting enough, no trip to Cafe Lawa is complete without a slice of delicious cheesecake. The salted caramel and creme brulee cheesecakes are out of this world. Creamy, full of flavour, and silky smooth, I could eat a whole one.

This lovely spot is alcohol-free but you can order some tasty mocktails, various fizzy drinks, and a huge variety of tea. You can find Cafe Lawa at Slotermeerlaan 117A, 1063 JN and it’s open from 10 am until 5 pm at the moment. Check out the website if you’d like to read the full menu and see more delicious-looking photos of food.
