Summer’s set to make a comeback this weekend and we could not be happier to hear it. NOS says that it could be ‘remarkably warm’ and even potentially record breaking for this time of year.
You should be able to put your umbrellas away as the weather is likely to be dry and pleasant, with Friday being one of the warmest days. Very handy if you’re planning drinks after work. The weather will be pleasant in most of the country for the rest of the week but here’s how the weather’s set for Amsterdam.
Tomorrow is supposed to be a balmy 19°c, which will rise to 20°c on Thursday and 21°c on Friday. The temperature will dip slightly to 20°c on Saturday and then rise to 22°c on Sunday. 22°c at the end of October! What the hell is going on with all this warm weather here then?
Well, there’s warm air coming from Southern Europe, where there’s still fairly warm weather. However, as weather forecaster Gerrit Hiemstra said when speaking with NOS about this inordinately warm weather, it is primarily down to global warming. By 2050, Amsterdam could have the climate of Paris, after all.
