Amsterdam Light Art has just provided us with a fantastic treasure map, containing the whereabouts, photos, and descriptions of every piece of light art in the city. These stunning artworks are free to admire, and there are plenty of them around to visit, all you need to do is check out the map and head to your favourites.
From Buiksloot to Gaasperdam, the city of full of these lovely gems and many of them were once exhibited as part of an Amsterdam Light Festival but have now been made permanent. For example, The Light Kite in Osdorp-Oost was featured in the fourth Amsterdam Light Festival but it was so well-loved that became a permanent feature in the city.
This winter Amsterdam Light Festival will be back from December 2 to January 23, so we have a lot to look forward to in those cold winter months, and now that the sun had decided it’s done shining, we honestly can’t wait.
