The temperature in Amsterdam has been so nice these past few days – not too warm but warm enough to enjoy the great outdoors. However, get ready to be hit with another heatwave next week, bringing highs of up to 30°C in Amsterdam.
It’s not just going to be warm, it’s going to be hot and it all starts on Tuesday when we’ll see highs of 26°C in the city. Get out the sun cream and for god’s sake buy a fan if you haven’t already because it’s only going to get hotter from thereon in.
Wednesday’s set to bring highs of 27°C and then Thursday will be even hotter, with temperatures set to reach 28°C. Rooftop terraces will be packed on Friday evening at the city heats up to 30°C and by the Saturday we’ll all be grateful for the 4 degree drop in temperature as highs fall to 26°C again.
The weekend is set to be dry and sunny, but not swelteringly hot. This mini-heatwave comes after the one in July, when temperatures across Europe rose to never before seen highs. It won’t be quite as hot this time around but make sure you have plenty of water and protection from the sun if you’re venturing out next week.
