Amsterdam is gearing up for WorldPride 2026, which coincides with the 25th anniversary of marriage equality. For two weeks, the city will be filled with protest marches, street parties, film screenings, and major concerts on the Museumplein. Looking for the best activities to check out? Pride Walk
The traditional Pride Walk has kicked off the festival for years. Starting at the iconic Homomonument, you’ll march through the city alongside thousands of like-minded people to make a powerful statement in support of global LGBTQIA+ rights. This inclusive opening march exudes an authentic, local atmosphere and immediately sets the right, committed tone for everything to come.
Pride Park
For one day, Pride Park in Vondelpark is the central hub where everything comes together. You can stroll through the Rainbow Market, join a boxing or chess tournament, and pop into the fetish area. Whether you’re coming for drag shows on the main stage or just want to sit on a blanket in the grass, there’s room for everyone here.
Open Air Film Festival
During the Open Air Film Festival, Mercatorplein transforms into a free open-air cinema for two evenings. Here, you can watch impressive queer films like *Plainclothes* and *Dreamers*, which revolve around love, activism, and identity. Bring your friends or neighbors, find a spot on the square, and enjoy a movie outdoors.
Senior Pride Concert
At the Nieuwmarkt, the Senior Pride Concert is all about honoring LGBTQ+ pioneers. This open-air concert brings together visitors of all generations with live music, performances, and memories. You’ll dance along in the square and celebrate the work of the generations who led the way.
Pride Street Parties
The street parties take over the city all weekend long, from Reguliersdwarsstraat and Dam Square to Stoperaplein and Zeedijk. Local bars and restaurants take to the streets en masse with DJs and themed parties, including the women’s party at the Stopera and the fetish party on Beursplein. You can walk from square to square for free and celebrate alongside thousands of people.

Canal Parade
The iconic Canal Parade is the most famous part of the festivities, featuring dozens of flamboyant boats sailing through the canals. You can watch the spectacle for free from the car-free quays, where you’ll find bars, food trucks, and accessible viewing spots scattered along the route.
Unity Concert
During the Unity Concert, international stars and local artists take the stage together to celebrate the power of the community. Here, you’ll enjoy an evening filled with live music, stories, and visual performances centered on visibility and connection. With an impressive lineup of big names and queer artists, this is one of the musical highlights of the program.

Wedding Party XXL
During the Wedding Party XXL, the city will celebrate 25 years of marriage equality with performances by Billy Porter, KI/KI, the Vengaboys, and others. You can join the party with major international acts or even experience a symbolic wedding in the special chapel.
WorldPride Village
During the second week of festivities, the WorldPride Village on Museumplein serves as the central hub for culture, activism, and community. During the day, you can stroll past information booths, stages, and workshops for free, with the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum in the background. In the evenings, the square transforms into the main stage for major concerts, for which you’ll need to secure a ticket in advance.
Human Rights Conference
At the Beurs van Berlage, the WorldPride Human Rights Conference brings together activists, speakers, and visitors from around the world for three days. You’ll attend interactive sessions and lively debates on topics such as health, legislation, and equal rights. For the program, you can buy a single-day ticket or get a three-day pass right away.
WorldPride Closing Concert
The WorldPride Closing Concert on Museumplein brings two weeks of celebration to a spectacular close. On the main stage, you’ll see performances by artists such as Olly Alexander and The Blessed Madonna. WorldPride March
During the WorldPride March, you’ll walk in an international demonstration from Martin Luther King Park to Museumplein. Participants carry the flags of countries where homosexuality is a criminal offense to draw attention to human rights. With floats, music, and activist groups, this march serves as the activist finale to the street activities.
