Amsterdam has already hosted parties in warehouses, former churches, and even on a floating crane—but this might just be the most daring location yet. This dance floor goes 100 km/h. Yes, someone has transformed the Dutch railway network into a nightclub.
The train that turns into a nightclub
On Thursday, October 23, 400 ravers will gather not in a line, but at Perron Whatever at Amsterdam Central Station. The 50:HERTZ Club Train—normally a sober mode of transportation—transforms into a seven-car nightclub and sets off on a four-hour joyride through the Dutch night. Each car has a different vibe: disco classics with live horns, high-energy house hits, and a so-called “chill zone” that will definitely not stay quiet. Windows become strobe lights. Villages gliding by become astonished spectators.
A lineup made for constant movement
The soundtrack leaves no room for sitting still. Disco legend Barbara Tucker and Chicago house hero Stacy Kidd provide the classic sound, flanked by modern groove maniacs like Jafunk, Block & Crown, Crystal Touch, and the brilliantly named Bustin’ Loose—founder of the London collective The Disco Express, the mad geniuses behind this mobile fantasy.
Not just any rave: a moving community

This isn’t just another ADE cash cow. The Disco Express is known for its warm, unpretentious approach —live musicians, energy to throw your hands in the air, and absolutely no VIP snobbery. The train forces everyone into instant camaraderie: no smoking areas, no dark corners, just moving together. When the train finally pulls back into Amsterdam Central Station, the passengers don’t just get off—they float.
