It’s official: Oasis is coming to the Netherlands. After months of speculation, the British rock band will return to Amsterdam on July 16 and 17, 2027, for two massive concerts at the Johan Cruijff ArenA. It will be their first Dutch performance since 2009 and a historic comeback.
New tour brings Britpop icons to the Johan Cruijff ArenA
Following the success of their reunion, Oasis has announced the international Live ’27 tour. The legendary British duo will tour 38 major stadiums in Europe and the United States from May through September 2027.
It will be their first performance on Dutch soil since 2009. Back then, the brothers performed at the Heineken Music Hall (now AFAS Live). With two consecutive nights on July 16 and 17, 2027, at the Johan Cruijff ArenA, they’ll be playing to an audience more than ten times as large.
From the infamous ferry incident to the ArenA
The cryptic video teasers directly referenced an iconic chapter from 1994. Oasis was set to break through at Paradiso back then, but a brawl on the night ferry threw a wrench in the works. Liam Gallagher ended up in jail and was deported, leaving only Noel behind. Three decades later, the band will make up for that missed debut in a big way at the Johan Cruijff ArenA.
