Just one night a year, dozens of Amsterdam museums transform into vibrant gathering places. During Amsterdam Museum Night on Saturday, November 7, 2026, more than 65 venues will open their doors simultaneously and stay open late into the night. Between 7:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m., visitors will not only explore the permanent collections but also enjoy exclusive performances, DJ sets, and workshops.
Since the highly sought-after wristbands sell out in record time every year, you’ll need to act fast. Official ticket sales begin on September 24.
One ticket for 65+ venues

With a €25 admission ticket, you’ll have access to more than 65 participating venues in Amsterdam on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. A single wristband opens the doors to iconic venues and hidden gems throughout the city, where you can enjoy special evening programs in addition to the permanent collections.
The ticket also offers added value after the event. Your physical wristband serves as a free admission pass for a one-time return visit to one of the participating museums through December 31, 2026. This gives you the chance to explore a venue you may have missed during the night at your leisure
Culture, music, and workshops

As night falls, the permanent exhibitions transform into atmospheric gathering spots for young Amsterdammers. Well into the night, the halls buzz with unique live performances, musical acts, and DJ sets. Visitors can participate in interactive workshops, take exclusive guided tours, and experience the city in a whole new way.
The diverse program is the work of Stichting N8, the organization behind the event, which is run by young talent aged 27 and under. This unique approach keeps the lineup fresh and closely aligned with what’s trending among young people in Amsterdam.
Participating museums in the city
Throughout the night, iconic institutions around Museumplein—such as the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam—will open their doors with unique evening lighting and surprising programming. In addition to these big names, you’ll also discover more intimate venues and contemporary cultural hubs scattered throughout the city.
This makes it just as easy to stroll into raw, industrial venues in Noord as it is to visit historic canal-side buildings in the city center. With more than 65 venues , you can easily create your own itinerary. The full program and all venues can be found on the official Amsterdam Museum Night website.
