After several storms that seemed to gang up on the Netherlands over the past few weeks, we definitely deserve some better weather and it looks like we’re going to get some this weekend! Obviously, nothing is guaranteed when it comes to forecasts but we should be looking at an altogether drier and sunnier end to the month.
February’s been very wet this year but pretty mild temperature-wise. Let’s face it, we’ve had colder winters but none quite so stormy for a very long time. However, Weerplaza forecasts highs of around 8°C on Saturday and Sunday alongside this delicious nugget of news: ‘February ends very nicely, maybe even a bit spring-like!’ Please, God, let it be spring!
You could probably even brave the terrace this weekend as Amsterdammers celebrate the end of restrictions. We suspect that a few barbecues might find their way out of the cupboard too. However, it’s not all sunny and dry from here on in, so make the most of it this weekend!
The beginning of March could see temperatures of around 10°C-13°C but we’ll probably have a few drizzles here and there. Then Weerplaza predicts pretty pleasant weather, with the possibility that Southern parts of the country could see temperatures in the twenties later in March. We can almost smell the tulips already.
