Voices of Fire performed at Grace for the World on September 13, 2025, in St. Peter’s Square, bringing their moving harmonies and spiritual sounds to the stage at the Vatican. They are one of the most inspiring voices in contemporary gospel music, and their performance was one of the highlights of the event.
Their joyful and uplifting renditions of “THE ONE FEAT. PHARRELL WILLIAMS,” “ANYWHERE,” and “MIRACLE WORKER” from their new album added an extra dimension to the already star-studded lineup, which also featured Andrea Bocelli, John Legend, Clipse, Jennifer Hudson, and Karol G.
The timing couldn’t have been better, as OPHANIM was just released last week, marking the start of a new chapter for the choir.
Voices of Fire: Their Origins and Rise
The gospel group was formed through the Netflix documentary of the same name, in which Pharrell Williams, together with his uncle, Bishop Ezekiel Williams, set out to find talent to form a world-class gospel choir. The show took place in Pharrell’s hometown of Hampton Roads, Virginia, and brought together people of all ages and backgrounds.
Voices of Fire quickly rose to fame thanks to their collaboration with the Virginia-based music producer on “JOY (Unspeakable),” in which their voices blended with Pharrell’s production in a mix of gospel and pop.
In addition to music, fashionistas may have also spotted the talented choir during Pharrell Williams’ first men’s fashion show as creative director in 2023 or during this year’s Paris Fashion Week for Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2026 show. By combining style and spiritual sounds, Voices of Fire was catapulted onto the international stage in one fell swoop.
OPHANIM Release
Their 13-track album has just been released and reinforces their collaborative spirit. In addition to the previously teased track “Miracle Worker,” OPHANIM also features future hits with artists from ‘Grace for the World,’ such as “The One” with Pharrell Williams, “Business” ft. John Legend, and “Won’t He Do It?” with Teddy Swims.
Other notable artists featured on their tracks include CeeLo Green & Quavo and Zacardi Cortez.
OPHANIM is distributed by Warner Records and is available as a digital download on the Voices of Fire website, along with a limited-edition vinyl featuring specially designed cover art for each track.
