The sun is finally shining in Amsterdam and hasn’t it been just glorious? The canals this weekend were lined with people enjoying the weather and this weekend we could see temperatures of up to 30 degrees in Amsterdam!
Whenever the sun shines, Amsterdammers come out of their houses like they’ve never seen the sun before, and to be fair, we don’t see it that often. Weeronline predicts highs of 28 degrees in Amsterdam this weekend but other forecasters disagree.
Weather.com predicts a high of 29 degrees and others even predict 30 degrees. So, whichever forecast is correct, it seems that we can expect a few warm days this week after a long, cold winter and quite a chilly start to spring.
The first summer day of the year occurs when temperatures in De Bilt, where the Dutch Weather Institute is situated, reach at least 25 degrees and it looks like that could happen this weekend. It’s just going to get warmer from here on in.
Temperatures are set to reach 21 degrees tomorrow (Wednesday) but it’s going to be a little cloudy. The clouds are expected to stay but they could rise to 23 degrees on Thursday and a toasty 27 degrees on Friday when the clouds are supposed to clear.
On Saturday, the clouds are set to return but it could be the hottest day yet, at 28-30 degrees! The warm weather will stay after that but forecasters are expecting rain so make sure you pack your barbecues up on Friday night and make the most of the beautiful weather!
