These Enchanting Open-Air Candlelight Concerts Are Coming To Lofi In Time For Summer

Perfect for a balmy Summer evening in Amsterdam.

Lofi is known for its gorgeous terrace where it hosts amazing events in the Summer breeze, lit by beautiful fairy lights. Now Candlelight is ready to bring Amsterdammers their own special atmosphere in the already beautiful surroundings at Lofi.

This gorgeous atmosphere will be created using thousands of candles, to illuminate several phenomenal musical performances and it’s going to feel like something from a fairytale.

Lofi

If you’re looking for an incredible atmosphere then look no further, because on September 22 Vera Westera Quartet will be playing the songs of the unforgettable Nina Simone, by candlelight.

If that alone doesn’t pique your interest, the magical sounds of Ennio Morricone’s and Hans Zimmer’s work will also be played by a talented pianist illuminated by thousands of candles on September 23. Zimmer’s work featured in Pirates of the Caribbean, Interstellar, and Inception, and Ennio Morricone produced music for Once Upon a Time in America and The Good The Bad And The Ugly.

On June 24 an amazing string quartet will be playing soundtracks from series and movies like Game of Thrones, Lord Of The Rings, and Sleeping Beauty. Plus, you can relax to the music of Ludovico Einaudi on August 26, and Vivaldi’s masterpieces will be played by a talented string quartet on July 29.

We know, it’s windy Amsterdam. So all of the candles will of course be battery-powered because we can’t have that Dutch weather ruining a beautiful evening. To keep everyone safe, the events will be socially distanced, and there really is something here for everyone.

You will have plenty of time to grab food and drinks from the amazing bar and restaurant at Lofi before the concerts start and you settle in for evenings you’ll be talking about for years to come.
