Bourbon apple cider recipe

Ingredients
For several cocktails
- About 6 cups of apple cider
- 1/4 cup of simple syrup or sugar syrup
- 1 lemon
- 1 orange
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 star anise
- 8 whole cloves (optional)
- 1.5 cups of bourbon
- 1 more cinnamon stick (for final garnish)
Instructions
- Pre-cut the fruits and cloves (like you would for a fruit salad).
- Add all the ingredients except the bourbon to a slow cooker or pot and stir.
- Cover and cook on low, letting it simmer for 3 to 4 hours.
- Stir in the bourbon.
- Pour into cups and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
