The EU Agency Has Just Approved The Pfizer-BioNTech Vaccine And It Will Come To Amsterdam

All 27 member nations now have the go-ahead for vaccine rollout.

It’s the day we’ve been waiting for – the EU Agency has just approved the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for use in its 27 member states. The vaccine prompts the body’s immune system to recognise and then fight the COVID-19 virus. The vaccine, developed by Pfizer-BioNTech, has already been rolled out to some residents in the United Kingdom. It has also been approved for use in Canada and Bahrain. The US is currently using the Moderna vaccine.

With over 400 million people living in the European Union, governments will be gearing up now to order and distribute the vaccine to their countries’ residents as quickly as possible. This will be very welcome news to lots of people living under lockdown in many European nations at the moment, especially now that a mutation of the virus has been identified. There is nothing to suggest so far that the vaccine will be any less effective against the new virus mutation.
