It’s been pretty cloudy today and we’ve been hoping and praying that King’s Day will be brighter and sunnier. Well, our prayers have been answered because the weather’s set to be altogether more pleasant than this overcast start to the week.
King’s Day beckons, on April 27, and whilst we all prepare our orange outfits we can expect to see a bright yellow sun in the sky, too. Whilst the sun won’t consistently shine throughout the day we’re set to experience highs of 14°C on Wednesday, with lows of around 6°C early in the morning and late at night.
So, we shouldn’t wake to frosty streets but you might want to wear something warm if you’re going to be headed out to the early morning markets. Anyone own an orange coat? Throughout the day there will be some clouds but nothing too dramatic.
Plus, no rain whatsoever is forecast, which is what we like to hear! Although highs of 14°C is fairly cold this time of year it’s the first ‘proper‘ King’s Day that Amsterdam has been able to have in a long time, so the atmosphere is sure to be amazing regardless. So, sunny spells and no rain. It sounds good to us, and you can’t have everything, right?
