It was quite cloudy today, and we’ve been hoping and praying that King’s Day would be sunnier and brighter. Well, our prayers have been answered, because the weather promises to be a lot more pleasant than this cloudy start to the week.
King’s Day is just around the corner, on April 27, and while we’re all getting our orange outfits ready, we can also expect a bright yellow sun in the sky. Although the sun won’t shine all day long, Wednesday will reach a high of 14 °C, with lows around 6 °C early in the morning and late in the evening.
So we won’t have to wake up to icy streets, but you’d better put on something warm if you’re heading to the market early in the morning. Does anyone have an orange jacket? There will be some clouds during the day, but nothing dramatic.
Plus, no rain is forecast at all, and that’s music to our ears! Although a high of 14 °C is pretty cold for this time of year, it’s the first “real” King’s Day Amsterdam has been able to celebrate in a long time, so the atmosphere is sure to be amazing. So sunny spells and no rain. That sounds good to us, and you can’t have everything, can you?
