After nineteen years on Amsterdam’s Bickersgracht, Jeroen Pauw has finally sold his distinctive warehouse home. The 66-year-old TV host listed the two upper floors for sale in May and finalized the sale in August for €1,050,000.
As a result, the journalist stands to make an estimated three hundred thousand profit. The new owner will not only gain 126 square meters of living space but also a rare view of two canals.
Historic warehouse on the Bickersgracht

The residence is located on the fourth and fifth floors of a historic warehouse on the Westelijke Eilanden. Where merchants stored goods during the Golden Age, the building has been transformed over the years into an exclusive residential complex. Despite extensive modernization, the sturdy beam ceilings and maritime character have been carefully preserved.
Today’s residents enjoy modern comforts, including an elevator, a spacious private storage room, and a serene courtyard garden. The warehouse’s former function has given way to tranquility and privacy, though the real surprise of this two-story penthouse lies just beyond the front door.
Luxury duplex with a double canal view

Thanks to its rare corner location on the fourth floor, the living space is bathed in natural light, with French doors offering a panoramic view of both the Bickersgracht and the Realengracht. The absolute centerpiece of the living room is a rotating fireplace, seamlessly connected to a spacious kitchen-diner that overlooks green courtyard gardens.
One floor up are the bedrooms and a sheltered rooftop terrace that guarantees complete privacy. The highlight of the master bedroom is the ingenious retractable balcony, which allows you to literally float above the water. Yet it was primarily the financial aspect of this duplex that captured everyone’s attention.
