At the end of August, you’ll find beautiful fields of blooming purple heather on the Sallandse Heuvelrug. You’ll feel like Kathy and Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights on the West Yorkshire Moors, because the Sallandse Heuvelrug really resembles that amazing landscape. The great thing is that you’re here in the Netherlands, so your legs won’t be as tired from climbing hills all day.
2. Canna and Perennial Nursery Van Haaster
These beautiful red flowers are native to tropical climates, but are grown here in the Netherlands by Canna and Perennial Nursery Van Haaster. 4. Sassenheim
If you want to see fields full of beautiful daffodils, Sassenheim and Lisse are your best bet. This is literally where North and South Holland meet, and there are plenty of great bike paths that take you through this area. The daffodils bloom from mid-March to mid-April. 5. Drenthe
From mid-June to early August, you can see fields of beautiful poppies blooming in Drenthe. The national park is also a must-visit for pure relaxation.
6. Granny’s Bouquet
This beautiful little lavender farm is located in the village of Stroe, just an hour’s drive from Amsterdam. You can smell the fragrant lavender as soon as you arrive. There are more than 400 cherry trees in the Amsterdamse Bos, donated by the Japanese Women’s Club in 2000. Every tree has a name, and this beautiful park is without a doubt the best place in Amsterdam to admire the stunning cherry blossoms.

Keukenhof, just outside Amsterdam, is truly a magical place that simply must be on this list!
