Amsterdam is an amazing place to grab brunch, whether it be boozy or otherwise…

On any street in Amsterdam, you are likely to find a cafe serving a tasty brunch. There is no better way to spend the early afternoon, after all. If you’re looking for somewhere to fill your tummy with some delicious food, here are five of the best brunch spots that the city has to offer.

1. G’s Brunch Boat

📍Keizersgracht 177, 1016 DR

You guessed it – it’s brunch on a boat! G’s Brunch Boat runs tours along the canal, serving mouthwateringly delicious food. On the menu are some twists on classics, such as poached eggs, served on fried chicken with hollandaise sauce, and French toast made with Jewish challah bread. You can even start the meal with some oysters and wash it down with one of the many bloody mary cocktail varieties on offer.

2. Zoku

📍Weesperstraat 105, 1018 VN

On the beautiful roof terrace at Zoku you can enjoy a delicious brunch menu that changes daily, as to always provide new options. The view of Amsterdam from the terrace is amazing and the food is varied and creative.

3. The Breakfast Club

📍Changiweg 110, 1043 DZ

📍Gustav Mahlerplein 114, 1082 MA

📍Haarlemmerplein 31, 1013 HR

📍Bellamystraat 2-H, 1053 BL

📍Wibautstraat 56, 1091 GN

The Breakfast Club has locations all over the city and every location serves all-day breakfast. From full-English breakfasts to American-style pancakes and huevos rancheros, there are options for everyone here. It all looks so delicious!

4. Bakers and Roasters

📍Kadijksplein 16, 1018 AC

📍Eerste Jacob van Campenstraat 54, 1072 BH

Bakers and Roasters describes itself as ‘a New Zealand style cafe served with a heavy dose of Brazil’ and they serve tasty breakfasts inspire by both countries. Their brunch menu is huge, with plenty of options for everyone. The team admits to being more expensive than a budget cafe but they are committed to buying their products from ethical sources. So, if you’d rather have bacon from a happy pig then you might not mind paying a few extra euros.

5. CT Coffee & Coconuts

📍Ceintuurbaan 282-284, 1072 GK

If you had to cancel a holiday in the sun this year, head to Coffee & Coconuts for a taste of that missing sunshine. Young coconuts, fresh juice, and coffee are available all day. You can also, of course, enjoy a tasty brunch here with lots of organic ingredients. Most of the food is vegan, vegetarian, and/or gluten-free, so there are loads of options for different dietary needs.
