Who doesn’t love pizza? It’s definitely one of the best things to ever have come from Italy and it’s eaten the world over.
In fact, it’s been a part of the Dutch diet for so long now that here we have some of the best pizza places in Europe. This has just been verified at the 50 Top Pizza Europa event in Barcelona, with Amsterdam’s nNea Pizza coming in at number 9 on the list!
This is a huge achievement, given how many cities and countries were contending for a place on this list, and it’s obvious why this delicious pizzeria has been named one of the best in Europe. The Neapolitan-style pizzas have the most incredible, crispy bases with just a kiss of charring on the top.
nNea has already been named the top pizzeria in the Netherlands for three consecutive years. So, it’s no surprise that this place has yet again been acclaimed by an international organisation.
At nNea, they focus on bringing the best of Italy from Amsterdam whilst also using local products. For example, the pizza bases are made using an incredibly elaborate combination of three flours, from the Netherlands, Germany, and, of course, Italy. They prove the dough for more than 50 hours, which is some serious dedication to pizza!
Their flavour combinations are quite a refreshing change from the usual tomato sauce and cheese combination you’d find in any Dutch pizza place and it’s making our mouths water just thinking about it. They also serve a great selection of wines, beers, and soft drinks.
The rankings don’t include restaurants from Italy itself. Who can compete with that? It’s definitely worth checking out the list of the best pizzas in Europe, especially if you’re planning a European trip any time soon and enjoy yourself a slice!
