Who doesn’t love pizza? It’s definitely one of the best things to ever have come from Italy and it’s eaten the world over.
In fact, it’s been a part of the Dutch diet for so long now that here we have some of the best pizza places in Europe. This has just been verified by the Naples Top Pizza event, with Amsterdam’s nNea Pizza coming in at number 54 on the list!
This is a huge achievement, given how many cities and countries were contending for a list on this place, and it’s obvious why this delicious pizzeria has been named one of the best in Europe. The Neapolitan-style pizzas have the most incredible, crispy bases with just a kiss of charring on the top.
NNea has already been named top pizzeria in the Netherlands for two consecutive years and it’s featured in the list of best pizzas in Europe for four consecutive years. So, it’s no surprise that this place has yet again been acclaimed by an international organisation.
At nNea they focus on bringing the best of Italy from Amsterdam whilst also using local products. For example, the pizza bases are made using an incredibly elaborate combination on three flours, from the Netherlands, Germany and, of course, Italy.
The prove the dough for more than 50 hours, which is some serious dedication to pizza! In particular, the list of the bet pizzas in europe highlights the Orange n’Blue pizza. which is made from blue buffalo cheese, fior di latte, roasted pumpkim and provola di Agerola, plus a good sprinkling of hazelnuts.
It’s quite the refreshing change from the usual tomato sauce and cheese combination you’d find in any Dutch pizza place and it’s making our mouths water just thinking about it. They also serve a great selection of wines, beers and soft drinks.
There are no other Netherlands-based companies on the list, but the list does include restaurants from Italy itself. Who can compete with that?
