5 Beautiful Beach Bars In Amsterdam For Sandy Feet And Delicious Drinks

Perfect for sunny days.

Whether the beach is real or artificial, there’s something luxurious about lounging about with a drink in hand and sand between your toes. City beaches are immensely popular at the moment, with more and more of them popping up all over the world. We have a few right here in Amsterdam, and we’re also lucky enough to have our own shoreline, so there are plenty of amazing beach bars to choose from, and these are our 5 favourites:

1. Pink Beach Bar

📍Motorkade 8B, 1021 JR

From palm trees to beautiful, soft pink sand and deck chairs, this place is an absolute dream come too. It’s not your average beach bar because everything is pink! From the bar to the booths and even some of the food, you can expect pink, pink, and more pink!

2. Pllek

📍TT Neveritaweg 59, 1033 WB

Pllek is one of the coolest places in Amsterdam, and its outside space is fantastic. They offer really tasty vegan food, and you can eat it by the water, which is such a calming and pleasant experience. Check out their website for more information on the restaurant.

3. Noorderlicht

📍NDSM plein 102, 1033 WB

This lovely cafe serves responsibly sourced food and the terrace is expansive. Plus, the view of the water from the terrace is breathtakingly beautiful. Visit their website to view the menu.

4. Strand Zuid

📍Europaplein 22, 1078 GZ

Strand Zuid might be the fanciest beach bar on this list, with gorgeous, comfy deck chairs and plenty of tasty drinks to sip.  From the sandy beach area, you can see the beautiful Beatrixpark, and the food is pretty tasty too. Head to the website to read the menu.

5. Roest

📍Jacob Bontiusplaats, 11018 LL

Amsterdam Roest has just reopened after a major renovation so we’re expecting it to be even better than we remember it. This place is gorgeous on an evening, with soft sand and fairy lights that bring a bit of sparkle. The food is great, and it’s a great place to buy a moderately priced pint if you’re on a budget. They haven’t updated the website since the refurbishment, but you should be able to read the menu soon.
